RHS Chelsea Flower Shows

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, organized by the Royal Horticultural Society is one of the most renowned flower and garden exhibitions globally. It is an annual event held in London on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. Top gardeners, florists, garden designers and plant nurseries display their creativity, innovative landscaping and magnificent floral exhibits.

Thousands of visitors from around the world, including members of the British Royal Family attend every year, and are exposed to modern trends in gardening and horticulture as well as environmental awareness, sustainability, and the best in innovative designs.
Every year members of BHS eagerly look forward to the planning, preparation and execution of Barbados’ exhibit. The Chelsea Team meets weekly for months prior to the show planning and the week of the show members congregate at BHS to sterilize, clean and pack the flowers, foliage and props to be transported by air to London, for Barbados’ display.

Over the years, the Barbados Horticultural Society has won 23 Gold medals, 12 Silver-Gilt and 1 Silver.
